ROSE FETE.
MEETING OP WOMEN'S NATIONAL BESERV.E. ' A meeting of the "Women's National Reserve was held at the rooms of the organisation, 257, Manchester Street, yesterday, to make final arrangements for the rose fete to be held in tho Domain Gardens on December 2. Mrs Wood presided and there was a full attendance of members. Mrs .Wood explained the object' of the meeting and said the details of the stalls were as follow: No. 1. Tea Stall, Mesdames G. Hanmer, F. Brittain, Tobin, Berry, Eerrier, Bowron, and Miss G. Thomson; No. 2 Tea Stall, Mesdames Bean, Chilton, Papprill, Moore and Carey-Hill; No. 3 Tea Stall, Mesdames Raymond, G. G. Stead, G. Helmore and Jennings. Colours of tea stalls, red, white and blue. Produce Stall—Mesdames Beauchamp Lane, Larie and Alpers. Colours, green and white. Ice Cream Stall—Mesdames J. Palmer and Henry Wood. Colours, pink and white. Sweet Stall—Mesdames Marnner, Hamber and Lee. Colours, mauve and white. Variety Stall—Mrs Secretan. Colours, white and gold. Fruit Salad Stall—Mrs Godby and Miss Cora Wilding. Colours, red, wiulo and black. Cake Stall—Misses Hawkins and de Veaux, assisted by members of the clerical classes belonging to the Women's National Reserve. Colours, heliotrope and purple. Peanut Stall—Miss . Elsie Cooper. Colours, white and pink. Post Offico Stall, at which programmes, books and postcards ready for mail will bo sold—Mrs Harvey Cook and Miss Just. Colour., scarlet. Arrangements were reported as beiti"- very complete in regard to tho flower stall. The stall will be presided over by Mrs Mills, who will bo assisted by all the students of tho women's National Reserve gardening class. The stall has been divided into the following sections:—(l) Buttonholes; (2) lavender bags; (3) 'cut flowers; (4) pot plants; (5) ferns, for winch beautiful baskets have been made; (6) garden tools. At this stall there will be gardening aprons for sale. It has been decided that early next week tin auction ealo of bedding-out plants should be held in Cathedral Square. The inquiry stall will be presided over by Mrs W. Wood and the honorary secretary (Mrs Evans). At this stall there will bo a telephone, and reserves for the different tea stalls will be obtained here. It was stated that arrangements for delivery would be undertaken, by the Citizeus' Defence Corps. The president reported i-h.it permits for raffles had been obtained from headquarters, but rallies must only be hold ou tho day of the foto. Miss Maud Trent had generously offered to give Gi out of every Is paid for afternoon tea at the kiosk. , Her offer, which was very greatly appreciated, had been accepted with thanks. Thanks were also duo to Miss Mildred Tront for tho loan of two dozon tablecloths. It was decided that all helpers and heads of stalls must wear badges similar to tho schemo of their decorations, the form of badge to take the shape of large choux attached to the left side of the bodice. Miss Cocks has been appointed treasurer for all moneys received at the fete.
