Information from Sydney states that the Union Company's Moeraki had been pble to obtain sufficient bunkor coal at Sydney, aud consequently sho was clue to sail yesterday for Wellington and Lyttelton. She should arrive in Wellington on Monday and Lyttelton on Wednesday. FIJIAN STATE STEAMERS. Tho Government of Fiji proposes to run a fleet of steamers as an ordinary trading concern. 'The original idea was to run ships to New Zealand and Australia, but all that is proposed at present is to run .steamers in and around the Fiji proup. A committee lias been constituted to curry out the necessary arrangements. SHIPPING NOTES. Mr J. E. Dugdale, eighth engineer of the Manuka, has gone ashore, aud Mr J. Ellcy, late of the Corinna. has signed on the Talrt. puna as third engineer in placo of Mr B. W. Gansell.
