SUPREME COURT.

[Per Press Association.] DUNEDIN, October 27. Two prisoners came up for sentence before Mr Justice Sim to-day. James William John Thompson, aged seventeen, for attempted assault on a girl aged eleven, was ordered to be detained for reformative treatment for a period not exceeding five years. John Mathieson (eighteen), for a serious assault on a girl of thirteen, was ordered to be detained for reformative treatment for a period not exceeding three years.
