COMMITTEE MEETING. The first monthly meeting of tho now committee of the Aniuri Agricultural and Pastoral Association was li«ld in tbc Library Hall on Saturday, Mr Nortacoto being in the chair. There we:> also present—Messrs H. T. Beaveu, J. Higgins, D. A. Mcliie, John Little and T. M. Marr (secretary). Letters wero received froui the Canterbury Ae-ricultural and Pastoral Association, the New Zealand Council •of Agriculture, awl Mr H Overtm regarding the Belgian Restoration Fund, and'it.was agreed to get tuo necessary permission and books, and to canvass the" district. Mr K. Pctiigrew was appointed delegtto to the Central Committee of th 3 Belgian Farmers' Restoration Fund. The ..sub-committee appointed to *eviso the judges' list submitted, its report, which was 'adopted Ii was resolved to writo to the persons suggested, asking if they were, willing to allow their names to be forwarded to tbo central body. Several suggestions were forward by way of improving the show schedule, and it was resolved to revise the catalogue at tho next monthly meeting, and to welcome anv Suggestions that may be put forward. On the motion of the chairman, votes ot condolence were uasscd to Messrs Dcrrett, Sunckell and Storer in their recent bereavements, members standing in silence.
