PERSONAL.
The late Mr A. H. Dobbs, whose remains were interred on Sunday, was a member of tho Phillipstown Tent of Rechabitcs. A number of members attended the funeral, and the Rochabito service was conducted by Past A.C.8., Brother 11. H. Taylor.
Mr T. W. Arthur has been appointed a field secretary, representing the New Zealand National Council of the Y.M.O.A. Ho will leave Auckland on Sunday to commence Ids new duties at the Awnpuui camp, and ho expects to leave the Dominion with a reinforcenent draft later. Mr J. J. Virgo, British National Field Secretary of the Y.M.C.A., will be accorded a civic reception by the Mayor at 11 a.m. to-day, at the City Council chambers. Mr Virgo, who has '•ecently been along the trenches in Franco, is touring the Empire with the object of’ consolidating the Y.M.O.A. war work and has a message for tlm oeople of the dominion in regard to the conditions under which the New Zea anders are fighting.
