DONATIONS TO RED CROSS FUND. Mr Charles N. Wcrsley, the wellknown artist, recently offered to the Canterbury Society of Arts for. 'its permanent collection, his painting .or Mount Scfton, which is at present loaned to the Government and hangin" in the Christchurch Tourist Office. on condition that the society raised £IOO for a war fund. ' . ' Several gentlemen interested in the Art- Society have promised sums amounting to £35 for “Our Drty Fund, and others interested are invited to assist, thereby doi-Bg good m two ways, namely, by fostering art and helping the Red Cross bund. The donors so far arc as follow:
