THE CARTERTON SOLDIER. PRISONER OF WAR JN GERMANY. [Pisa Pkess Association-.] WELLINGTON, September 1. Tho reported desert ion to the enemy of a member of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force, it is now officially stated, was not a case of desertion at all. The man in question, Private P. Nimot, of Carterton, is officially reported to he a prisoner of war along with five other New Zealanders at Dulray, Westphalia, Gormany. In view of tho circumstances, the Minister of Defence has cabled Home ordering a thorough investigation and report.
