ALCOCIi CHAMPIONSHIP. The eighth round,of the Alcock crystalato amateur “billiard championship of Christchurch was played on Thursday night. • An intcrcsiing game was seen at the Post end ' Tee graph Club, when Bickerdike (last year’s champion) was defeated by Waller after a verv even contest. At tho police social Club " Behrens playing Shaw compiled a solemn., all round break of 51. hollowing are tho results:—Waller 300 v. Bickerdike 279, Behrens 300 v. Shaw 163, Bnrritt 300 v. Williams 149. The best breaks oi tho evening were: Behrens 51, 26 and 24, Bnrritt. 11. 25, 2>2 and 20, Waller 35, 38 and 17, Bickerdike 34, 32, 22 and 21, Shaw 23, 22 and 17. ' The Grey v. Ward game was postponed until this evening.
