CHEVIOT. The Cheviot County Council met on Saturday; present—Messrs T. G; Gey (chairman), T Moikle, T. Stevenscn, R. L. Jamieson and C. Barnes. A telegram was received from Mr G.. L. Rutherford, s'ating his inability to attend owing to illness The clerk was instructed to write expressing the council's sympathy. Mr Carson wrote regarding tho bridge ever the drain at iho entrance to his section, and Mr Barnes was de-uted to n'tend ’o. the ran.'tor. , A letter was recoived from the Commissioner of Crown Lands, with reference to a gravel reserve on Mr G cor on 1 p-operty. It was decided to take , four acroi of the reserve near tbo n’nn'alion.
