CHEVIOT. The Cheviot County Council met on Saturday; present—Messrs T. G; Gey (chairman), T Moikle, T. Stevenscn, R. L. Jamieson and C. Barnes. A telegram was received from Mr G.. L. Rutherford, s'ating his inability to attend owing to illness The clerk was instructed to write expressing the council's sympathy.
