ITALY’S CAMPAIGN
THE 130NZ0 FRONT. MORE TRENCHES TAKEN. The High Commissioner reports:— LONDON, August 15. On the Italian front last night the Italians repulsed several countor-at-attacks, yesterday capturing several sectious of enemy trenches and 1410 prisoners. MORE CAPTURES RECORDED. Australian and N.Z. Cftblo Association. LONDON, August 15. An Italian communique says:—We attacked the Austrian lines westward of Storado and Mount lecmka, capturing several trenches. ... There r; heavy fighting on the bills eastward of Gorizia, but Austrian demonstrations at various points were everywhere repulsed. AUSTRIAN LOBSES. 20,000 SINCE AUGUST ‘4. ROME, August 15- _ A wireless message states that it is estimated that the Austrian losses since August 4 on the Italian front were 25.000 killed and 40,000 wounded, besides 22,000 taken prisoners. The total, including the losses on the east front, is probably ovei* 200,000.
