ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
CHILD KICKED BY A HORSE. On Monday afternoon the six-year-old daughter of the Rev. J. Milne, of Spriugburn, was playing with other children in the manse paddock when she was kicked on the head by a horse. Dr M'Kay, of Methven, was called, and found that the child had a small fracture of the skull and' a deep wound over the right temple, necessitating several stitches.
DEATH FROM HEART FAILURE. Charles Hanson, an elderly man, died suddenly yesterday morning, at his residence, 128, Somerfield Street, Sydenham. An inquest was held last evening before Mr H. W. Bishop, Coroner, and after hearing the evidence of Dr Thomas, a verdict was returned that death was due to heart failure.
