CANTERBURY ASSOCIATION.

MEETING OF MATCH COMMITTEE.. The Alatch Committee of tho Canterbury Football Association met on Monday evening, Mr R. English presiding over a full attendance. The question of making the draw for the English Cup competition was considered, and as the ,Ser,i.:r entries were not quite coiupie.e it was decided to defer tho playing of the first round till Saturday week. It was staled that practically all the teams in the League competition had with the addition of two teams from the Cadets formed by Sergeant-Major Pound. It was resolved that on Saturday next tho ordinary League competition matches should be played in tho Senior and -Fourth Grain, and the Third Grade will play friendly matches. The Cadets would be included in these games for this week for practice, and would be entered in the Fourth Grade for the cup competition. SATURDAY’S MATCHES. The matches for Saturday aro as follow: Seniors —Nomads v. Um.ed, nt English Park ai 3 p.m.; St Albans v. Linwood, at North Park,. at 3 .p.m.; Rangers v. • Sunnyside, at Sunnyside, at 2.30 p.m.; St Bede’s v. Boys’ Gordon Hall, at English Park, at 1.45 p.m. Third Grade (F.ricndly Matches) —Sumner v St Albans, at Nor n Park, at 2 p.m.; Western v. Cadets A, at St A bans Park, at 2 p.m.; and Nomads v. Cadets B, at St A.bails Park, at 3 p.m. Fourth Grade—St Bede's v. Boys’ Gordon Hall, at North Park, at 2 p.m.; Nomads A v. St A!ban3, at Park Royal, at 3 p.m.; Nomads B v. Linwood, at North Park, at 3 p.m.; Technical A v. Tcchuical B, at Technical ground, 3 p.m. REFEREES’ ASSOCIATION. The newly-formed Canterbury Referees’ Association met at the Y.M.C.A. on Monday evening, Air Hurley presiding over a good attendance. The question of foul language was brought, up, and it was unanimously agroed that the attention of all referees should bo drawn to t'i'es dealing with the question, and tho meeting urged that all cases of bad language on the part of players on the field should be strictly dealt with.
