MEETING OF TRANSPORT WORKERS.

WELLINGTON, June 27.

A conference of transport workers was held on Monday in tko rooms of the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants. Delegates present represented the Enginemen’s, Drivers’ and Gleaners’ Association, Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants, Waterside Workers, Tramway Workers and Drivers’ Union. No official information regarding the proceedings have been given ont. but it is understood that important matters were considered in a harmonious manner and proposals were adopted which aro regarded as satisfactory, and these will be submitted by the delegates to the various unions concerned.
