Lord Robert Cecil, in reply to a question in the House of Commons, eaid that a further unfavourable report had been received that the German authorities bad deliberately, reduced the official food rations of prisoners at Rubleben. Between 100,000 and 300,000 marks had accumulated which should be spent in food, and Germany had been informed that if she did not reply to protests within a week Britain would be compelled to consider a course in regard to German prisoners. Reports from the American Embassy show that rations are little more than one-third the requisite allowance and the German Government has been informed that if it is unable to feed prisoners properly, it should roleasb them.
