• Sir,—Would some persons keep j so strict to their religious ".scruples" it the Germans invaded this country and seized their daughters? I think if Christ was on earth He would say "Take up thy cross and follow I have sacrificed My body for you. You sacrifice your body for your children. That is a true Christian spirit. If a man attacked your daughter you would not think twice of taking his life if you had any parental feelings, and I fear some of those that are talking about religion at this time are trying to hide behind a screen of their own making.—l am, etc., A MOTHER.
