BURGESSES’ ASSOCIATIONS.
SPREYDOX. At tho iiftli animal meeting of the Spreydou Burgesses' Association, which was held in the Sehvyn Street Hull, there was a good rltendance. Mr A. Xicol, the president, reviewed the work done for the year, which was considered satisfactory. He said that among other matters requiring attention in tho coming year were the overlap section on the Lii coin Road and tho extension of the tram line in central S prey don. The secretary of the Social Committee reported that the committee had completed arrangements for a complimentary social to he given to Mr T. Woods in the Coronation Hnli, Sprcydon. which would take ihe form of a ouclire party and dance. Invitations had been sent to the Hon R. If. Rhodes, M.P.. and ilr 11. G. Ell, M.l\, and aiso to the representatives of the Riccartou and Addington Associations. Officers were elected ns follow President, Mr W. H. Kit sou; secretary. Mr T. Smith; vice-presidents, Messrs Taylor, Stewart and PcppcH’lexecutive. Messrs Woods, Dinek, Lunt. Dulaney,. Halley, Williamson, Roberts and iM’Lennghan. Votes of thanks were passed to tho retiring president, wlm las held office ns secretary or president for six years, and had given a groat deal of time to tho scrvico of the borough, and to Mr D. Williamson, for his assistance to ,tho association.
