HEAVY RECRUITING ON SATURDAY.

EIGHTY-THREE SIGN ON. Recruiting was very brisk in tho city on Saturday, the total enlistments received, eighty-three, being the highest for tho week.

Owing probably to three outstanding features, the naval action, the death of Lord Kitchener and the discussion on the Military Service. Bill in the 7?ouso of Representatives, the total figures for last week show a big improvement on those of the previous six days, although still a good way behind those for the week ended May 27.
