AMUSEMENTS.

THEATRE ROYAL. The Royal Strollers, in tlieir picturesque costumes and with their bright and humorous songs, their burlesques and their dances, succeeded in pleasing their audience in the Theatre Royal last night, and were rewarded with marks of appreciation. The company will repeat- its programme to-night. OPERA HOUSE. The excellent programme presented at the Opera House attracted another very large audience last evening, and the Victor Princo Revusical Company, the Gloekers, water jugglers, George Grotty, the London comedian, the I>e Baker's Models and the other artists on the programme were accorded' a very warm welcome. Tho same artists will appear to-night. A matinee will bo given on Saturday. EVERYBODY’S THEATRE. "The Submarine Pirate’ continues to be the principal attraction at Everybody’s Theatre, where it creates much laughter. It will bo given to-day and to-night, with other items. GRAND THEATRE. There wero largo attendances at the Grand Theatre .yesterday. Madame Petrova in the principal role of lhe Heart of a Painted Woman.’ came m for an enthusiastic reception, while the tenth series of tho “Black Box, which arrived in time to be shown at the evening sessions, also attracted a largo number of numerous requests, this series will be shown at all sessions to-day and to-mor-row.

QUEEN’S THEATRE. This week’s programme, headed by tho picture version of Frank Norris’s novel, “ The Pit,’was repeated' at the Queen’s Theatre yesterday. The same pictures will ho shown to-day and tonight. HIS MAJESTY’S THEATRE. “Niobe,” with other items, was repeated at His Majesty’s Theatre last night. The programme will be repeated to-night. GLOBE THEATRE. Mondav’s programme at the Globe Theatre, with “ Helen’s Babies ” as the principal picture, was repeated yesterday, and will be given again to-day and to-night. ‘ KING’S THEATRE. There was a largo attendance in the King’s Theatre again last night, when pictures representing tho fight for the championship between \\ lllard' and Johnson wero shown for tho last time in Christchurch * SYDENHAM THEATRE. At the Sydenham Theatre, the star feature, the famous comedy, “Niobe,” was repeated with much successs last night. The programme will be shown finally to-nignt.
