GENEROUS DONATION TOWARDS

RE-BUILDING

[Pru Press Association.] ASHBURTON, May 9. Recently the householders protested against, the unsanitary state of the Borough School, and the Education Board at its last meeting decided to build two new rooms as the commencement of a new school. Many householders considered this insufficient, and a mooting was to have been held on Friday to petition Parliament for a grant for a new building. Yesterday Mr Hugo Friedlandcr handed a cheque to the a Guardian ” for £IOOO as a donation towards the new school.
