FARMERS’ UNION.

SCARGILL. A meeting of tho Scargill branch of the Farmers’ Union was held on Friday. Mr Leach moved that the secretary write .to the Director of the Fields Division with a view to getting him to- visit the district and deliver a lecture on lime and how to use it, with any other matters of interest to farmers. The motion was seconded by Mr Jones and carried. ... Mr Pannett moved —“ That it is the opinion of the members present t’'at this branch of the Farmers’ Union should bo closed.” The motion was seconded by Mr Leach and carried.
