SCHOOL COMMITTEES.
WOOLS!'ON. A special meeting of the Woolston School Committee was held on Monday. Mr Rouse presiding. The, treasurer reported a balance of £3 6s for the Picnic Fund. Iho head master reported that the children had contributed £5 2s Gd to the Patriotic Fund and £2 1-ls 2d to the Woolston Red Cross hund. Miss Batchelor was appointed assistant mistress and Mr Baird assistant master. Mr Bonnington. an ex-scholai\ forwarded three prizes for the swimming carnival, to be held m March. The donor "was accorded ft vote of thanks. ' •'
