MONTHLY MEETING. The North Canterbury Hospital and Charitable Aid Board met yesterday; present—Mr F. Horrell (chairman), Mcsciames Christie ami - Green, Hon R. Moore. M.L.C.. and Messrs 1. D. Boag. J- Otloy. jt' was reported that during the month there were 95 attendances and 50 persons called for information at the tuberculosis dispensary. Eleven now cases were notified and five houses were notified for disinfection. The nurse paid 60 visits to patients 111 their own homes. . r , . . At the Consumptive Sanatorium, nine persons were admitted during January and eleven wore discharged, and on January 31 there were fiftyseven in the institution. Five patients were admitted to the Coronation Hospital during January, four- were discharged and thirty-seven were in residence on January 31. In the Genetab Hospital there were. 227 patients at the end of January; 304 were admitted during the month and there were 335 out-patient cases. There were 262 operations under anesthetics. comprising general surgical cases, throat, nose, ear and ophthalmic cases. . In the dental department, there were 484 operations and 607 attendances, and 149 fresh patients were examined.
