SHIPPING NOTES. The Hnddart-Parker Company’s Westrnlia, which omitted Lyttelton on the run south, will arrive from Dunedin to-day. In continuation of Homeward, loading, the New Zealand Shipping Company's Rotorua arrived in port early this morning. The presence in port to-day of three oceangoing iincrs' and the East, Coast scrrvice vessel should considerably, brighten up matters on the waterfront, and the prospects from a waterside worker’s point of view should be entirely satisfactory. The Tainui, which left Wellington yesterday for London, took 19.448 crates of cheese and 6756 boxes .of.butter,. The Waihemo reached from Sydney on January 8, and/after discharging 17,500 bales of wool, she proceeded to Powell River (British Columbia* where a large quantity of paper, prineipi lly for Melbourne, was loaded. The vessel next proceeded to Union Bav for hunkering, arriving there on January 10. She left for San 'Francisco the following day, and there shipped a general cargo and .a-number of motor-cars,, . ’ijic Waihemo sailed finally for Wellington on' January 23, the passage occupying'26 days 11 hours.
