CURRENT NOTICES.
A united intercession service in connection with 'the war will be held in the Salvation Army Citadel this evening, at eight o'clock. The Rev J. Paterson will deliver an address. The autumn show of the Riccarton Horticultural Society will be held in the Oddfellows' Hall, Upper Riccarton, to-morrow, at 2.30 p.m. The annual meeting of the V\ aiau Railway League will bo. held in the Coronation Hall on Saturday, at 2.30 p.nr. A jumble sale will be ncld in the Durham Street Schoolroom to-day at 2 p.m.
