ELECTRICITY FOR HANMER.
SUPPLY FOR TOWNSHIP. [From Our CoRREsr-oxrvF.KT.] WELLINGTON, February 21. The Minister in charge of Hospitals, the Hon G. W. Russell, informed a representative of the "Lytteltou Times" that Mr L. Birks, engineer in charge of the Lake Coleridge electrical scheme, had been instructed to prepare a scheme for providing electricity for light and power at. Hanmor Springs. The supply would be available, noli only to the hospital and Sanatorium, but to the whole of Hanmer Springs, and the plant would be in duplicate, so as to avoid any risk of failure for current. Probably water' power with a gas engine a£ a stand by, will be installed.
