SUPREME COURT.

[Per Prkss Association.] AUCKLAND. February 21. In the Supreme Court his Honor Mi' Justice Cooper gave judgment in _an action by John Williams Dines against Edwin Clements, claiming £3OO damage for alleged breach in negotiations for the pur-jhasa by plaintiff of certain land in the Whangarei district. His Honor held that the statements made by defendant were false and fraudulent for the purpose of inducing plaintiff to buy property, and were a material factor in inducing the plaintiff to buy. In his Honor's opinion CIOO was a fair sum for damages, and he gave judgment for that amount and costs on the lower scale.
