SOLDIERS' COMPLAINTS.
THE POSITION AT HANMER. INQUIRY BY THE MINISTER. The Hon J. Allen. Minister of Defence,. visited Hanmer Springs yesterday to make personal inquiries into the complaints of invalided soldiers there. He went by motor, and, after hearing what the men have to say, will return to Christchurch this afternoon.
Before leaving the city he said that he could not discuss the question publicly, as any opinion he expressed would look like a prejudgment, and he wished to meet the men with an open mind.
