PEAS AND BEANS. Peas are firm. New Zealand Maples are. 60s to' 655. Beans are steady. New Zealand spring are quoted from 50s to 525. butter. Butter is very firm. Danish is quoted at from 164 sto 16Ss. The rise, is principally due to the fall in the exchange, which is generally attributed to Britain’s reduction of exports to Denmark. There is good inquiry for Now Zealand. Choicest salted is quoted at from 154 s to 1565, unsalted 160 s to 1645. Australian is practically cleared. Salted 116 s to 148 s, unsaltod 158 s to 160 s. CHEESE. C-hecso .• ia easier. New Zealand white is quoted at 955, coloured 965. -. METALS. Copper—Spot £lO6 5s (£2 5s higher than 1 Ijst week); three months, £lO3 5s (5s higher). The Bradford wool market is quiet and unchanged.

Tho' New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., has received tho following cable message, dated London, February IS; —“Tallow —We quote present spot values for the following descriptions:—Fine ■mutton,. 50s per cwt; 'good beef, 48s 6d per cwt; ■ mixed, 45s fid per cwt. market is dull, and there is nothing, doing.” .

The National Mortgage and Agency Co. of New Zealand shows a profit of £54,366. After paying a dividend of Is and a bonus of 2s, the company 'has added to reserve £SOOO and carried forward £24,866.
