THEFT OF MONEY.
[Per Press Association.] WELLINGTON, Februarv 17. A soldier, Corporal Mark Barnett, appeared before Mr Justice Chapman io-clay on a charge of theft from his employers. It was stated that the total sum involved was £206. His Honor said he could not admit prisoner to probation even though he was prepared to serve his country as a soldier. He was sentenced lo six months’ i m prison men t.
