LAND AGENTS’ SECTION. A meeting of the Laud Agents’ Section of the Professions and Commerce Group was held at tho Caledonian Hall on Tuesday night, when Mr H. 31. Hunter presided over a good attendance. ' i , , ; Mr A. AY. Stanley was elected' to the committee. It was decided that the art union tickets for four of the clear .title; sections, donated to the fund, and situate at Wainoni, South New Brighton, Pleasant Point and North Brighton, 6hould be sold at one shilling each. The secretary _ reported that Mr S. G. Raymond, K.C., Crown Solicitor, had consented to allow the titles to the sections, given as prizes, to be transferred to him as trustee pendingthe drawing of tho art union. Mr it. L. Saunders volunteered to prepare the necessary transfers free of °°The treasurer (Mr 11. AY. Heslop) reported that the concert and auction sale held at Sumner on Saturday last 'h a d realised £l9 2s od gross, and that there, were no expenses.. A voto . of thanks was passed to the performers, donors and helpers. The treasurer also reported that duriiiir the preceding week he had paid over’ a further sum of £92 11s 9d to the group treasurer It, was decided to hold a concert and auction sale in Sydenham Park and a similar function at, New Brighton. certs from a lorry, the- performers to bo garbed in tbo Queen’s colours. The arrangements were left m the hands of Air Bartlett (New Zealand Farmers’ Co-operative). . .. Members of tho committee subscribed for and purchased a beaten copper bowl, which had Ik>oii donated for tho Sumner sale by Airs Evelyn Clarke, and which tbo purchaser had handed hack for re-sale. Tho howl is to ho handed lo Air O. T. J. Alpors as a small token of the committee’s appreciation of his efforts on behalf of their ouecn. Mr Stanley Richards wrote donating tho sum of £lO to the fund.
