ADVANTAGE WITH ALLIES.
The High Commissioner reports:— LONDON, December 12. Artillery fire on the western front is continuous and to our advantage, especially in the Bois de Bouchet, where the first lino and support trenches were destroyed. GENERAL CABTELNAU. APPOINTED TO A COMMAND. (Received December 13, 1.40 a.m.) PARIS, December 12. It is officially nounced that General Joffre has appointed General Casteluau to command a group of armies.
