(Received December 12, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, December 11. The rally of siugle men was the outstanding feature of the close of. Lord Derby's campaign. Some of the recruiting officers had not removed their clothes for four days. Many recruits have gone straight to the Army. Several officers announce that they have beaten all records, apart from Lord Derby's group scheme. Eighty per cent of the men who enlisted at the White City were under thirty years and apparently unmarried. Nine hundred nightshift men at the Woolwich Arsenal were sworn in on Friday night and left a thousand at the Lambeth Town Hall at midnight waiting ,to sign on. There were similar scenes in the provincial centres.
