RED CROSS WORK.

CATHEDRAL SQUARE DEPOT.

The usual Friday night and Saturday morning sales of home-made delicacies, flowers, etc., at- the depot, next the General Post Office, will he organised and conducted this week by Mesdames Charles and Waloot Wood assisted by a number of other ladies. There will be for sale, in addition to the usual large variety of foodstuffs, a special display of iced Christmas' cakes of all sizes, dressed poultry, meat and fruit pies and a largs number of Christmas puddings, each of which will contain a silver coin and anothct silver article. . , By this week's mail the depot forwarded to the Overseas Club, London, £7 14s. collected by Mr Harrv Thomas and the Misses E. and W. Throp, for the Tobacoo Fund. A donation of £5 has been received from Mrs H. Smith, of 214, Cambridge Terrace. Orders for Christmas plum puddings will be received at the depot any time up to December 23. ADDITIONAL GIFTS. The ladies of the Red Cross Branch of tho St J-lin Ambulance Asaocialion have received gifts in kind from the following: Mrs C.
