notified the Allies that the demands that Greece should evacuate Salonika and that the Allies should assume the surveillance of the coast are not acceptable because they would practically amount to a violation of Greece’s neutrality. _ The correspondent adds that the hesitation is due to the Austrian and German threats that the territory occupied by the Anglo-French forces would be considered as enemy territory if Greece acoeded to the Allies’ demand.
