To-morrow, at Lancaster Park, Waitaki Boys' H:gh School will try conclusions with Christchurch B:ya' High School in their annual fixture. This game a'ways proves to he very interesting, and, given fine weatbes. (hero should be a large attendance of the public The Senior Grade fixtures, ltari3ts v. Linwood and High. School Old Bovs v. The Marists Club vreto stating that in the Fourth Grade match wi h Sumner last Saturday, tho Surrner team included a. player who was not eligible to- take part. The secretary stated that the letter was written under a. misunderstanding, as the p ayer complained of was on tho Sumner Ciub'g list. It was resolved to write to the Sumner Club asking for particulars. The chairman said that the memorial parade on Sunday had been ft great success, and he wished to express his thanks to all those who had assisted. On the chairman's motion it was resolved to vrite to ministers who hod assisted expressing the committee's thanks and also to the Band thanking it for tho assistance it had given cud enclosing a cheque for £3 3s. The Temuka Club wrote asking if its Senior team could p'ay the loading Christchurch team at Park on August. 7, the Temuka Club being prepared to pay hs own expenses, and tie proceeds of the ma'ch to lv> devoted to the Wounded Soldiers" Fund. It was. resolved' to replv stating that it had been "decided not to hold any matches on August 7, but to suggest August 21 a 3 a sui'ab-e date. The "Wellington Rugby Union wroto asking for suggestions us to- tho dates for the proposed matches between Wellington and Canterbury represej.ts.tive teauxs in Christchurch and in Wellington. It was decided to suggest August 14 for 'he match in Christchurch and Ausust 28 for ihe match in Wellington. Mr R. Cockayne, referee in the Senior match between Sydenham and Linwcod at Lancaster Park oh' Saturday wroto stating hat he had had occasion to order two players off the field for rough play. The matter was considered in committee, and on remming it was reported that as the referee did not see any blows struck it had been decided to disimVs tho case.
