TO THE EDITOR. Sir,—ln reference to the letter _or your corrcspoudpiit in connection with tlio St Martins electricity scheme. I ara at one with the writer of that letter in deploring the lack of publicity when the scheme was before the ratepayers. I believe many people were unaware of the date when the poll was taken, and in that way failed to record their rote. However, I am informed by Mr F. A. Scott, our representative on the Heathcot* County Council, that a fresh poll of the ratepayers will,be taken in a few weeks' time,'when your correspondent and others will Mirelv record their votes in favour cf such a progressive and desirable improvement in lisrhtins facilities for St Martins. Do not bo induced to sv.pport nnr other scheme than that of th" Heathcotc County Council—l nni. etc.. .TAMES V. HUNTER.
