PAPARUA COUNTY PLOUGHING MATCH.

The Pnparua County Ploughing Match Committee met in the Templeton Library on Monday evening, the president, Mr F. S. Maddison, being in the chair. There was a large attendance. The secretary reported that he had received thirty entries for the match, which was considered very satisfactory. The following cla.->s; steward's.were appointed :—Messrs J. Sclbie (principal), H. W. Davis. T. A. Guy. W. Henderson. T>. M'Vinnie, J. H. Nelson, W. Calder and P. Kavanagh. Complete arrangements were made for the match, and given a hue day it is anticipated that there will be a large attendance of the public, as some of the best ploughmen in Canterbury arc competing.

Any surplus from the match will be handed over to the Patriotic Fund.
