The New Brighton Borough Connctj met last evening: present—The .\lny.,' (Air C. H. Winny); and Councillors A, i.'aidgoy, .J. Ashley, 0. Dcrgh, L"< Israeison, G. W. Steuilaud, F. Kibb>> v.iiitv.. O. Witheil and A. W. Owles; The Finance Commiuee rooorted tliti receipts to have been £29 -is 3d aud the expenditure £354 14s lid. The Sanitary Cbmmitteo .recommended that notice should be M?ryc.i on the owner of an insanitary dwelling, to bare the building pulled dowu. After discussion on the question of the advisability of continuing th? thinning out of trees in the Rawhiti Domain, it was resolved that the work should be> discontinued. On the resolution of Mr (r. W. Staniland, a vote of thanks was passed to Messrs Israelaon and Ashley for their splendid work on behalf of the Domains during the year.
