TRAMWAY BOARD AND MILITARY AUTHORITIES. : At yesterday's meeting ot the Christchurch Tramway Board the Works and Traffic Committee, in the course ot its report, drew the board's attention to the inconvenience which bad resulted uu two occasions lately in consequence of large bodies of troops being brought to "the cars for transport without any previous notice being miven to the Traffic Department. On the afternoon of Saturday, January 30. over one hundred men were taken to Cashmere Hills. The cars were much overcrowded, and room could not be found for other iate»ding passengers. On the following Sunday afternoon, niheiv en dots were brought to the tram at Redcliffs.
