JUNIOR INTER-CLUB COMPETITION.

ST ALBANS v. CATHOLIC CATHEDRAL.*

St Albans and Catholic Ca+hedral met on Saturday in the Junior B grade inter-club competitions, the former winning by 8 games. Following arc the scores, St Albans players being mentioned first: Singles—Kirk beat O’Gonncll, 9-5; Maning lost to Cahill, 8-9; Nichclls beat O’Connor, 9-6; Thomson beat. Lagan, 9-4. Doubles—Kirk and Thomson lost to O'Connor and O'Connell, 8-9; Maning and Nichols lost to C'shill and Lage.n. 7-9. Totals—St Albans 50, Catholic Cathedral •42.

On the Rangiora courts cm Saturday the final in a men’s handicap singles competition for a racquet given by Mr G. Rutherford was played off by V. Allison and D. Guinness. The. handicaps were:—Allison owes half 40, and D. Guinness owes 30. Al well contested match ended m favour of Allison, tho scores being 12-11.
