HIGH PRICES FOR. FEED. [Ft.om Our Coh nksponoknt.] MASTERTON, -March 13. At the annual meeting of the. Wairarapa Egg Circle matters of considerable importance to the poultry industry and conditions brought about by the war were discussed at considerable length/ « ; The following resolutions were passed, and are to be li maided to the Prime Minister:— d) That the Gavcrnment lie iuged . to have a fixed price adopted for bran and pollard. 02) That in consequence of the wholesale destruction of poultry caused through exorbitant prices being charged for necessary feed, the Government be requested to prohibit the exporting of bran and pol- ' lard. (4) That in view of the statement made by the Prime Minister that he can obtain another one and a half million, bushels of wheat from Canada, the Government be urged to do so. and that a reasonable quantity be placed at the disposal of poultry-keepers of New- Zealand, tobe distributed through recognised poultry societies.
