TECHNICAL CLASSES ASSOCIATION.

ASHBURTON. The Ashburton Technical Classes Association met on Friday when MrHeniv Davis presided. It was decided lo bring the -matter up again later. The resignation of Miss B. Loy .as cookery instructress was received with regret, and it was agieed to advertise tor applicants for the position at- a salary of £l5O per annum. In addition there wore primarv and secondary school pupils inking woodwork and cookery. tho numbers lTeing 232 and 202 respectively, as against 210 and 218 for the previous t ear. The grand total vas 1250 against 1.045 lasi year.

The question of providingu ear for the conveyance of instructors to outlaying districts in a. reasonable time wa« referred to tbe executive.

Messrs Davis and W. H. Collins were appointed a visiting committee for the month. Accounts amounting, to Ceil Is 2d were passed for payment.'
