THE BELGIAN CHILDREN

TO-DAY’S CAMPAIGN. The response so far given in connection with t.ho movement in Christchurch to provide funds to ensure that .the exiled Belgian children shall not be forgotten at Christina st *ie, is a happy augury of the manner in which the pectp,o of Christchurch will show to-day and this evening their practical sympathy, and express their goodwill. Tho stalls in front of the Cathedral jor the old'English' fair have bocn built by Mhssrs Luttrell Bros.,' "• decorated by Messrs Armstrongs, Ltd., and the illumination provide,, by Messrs Turnbull and Jones, nil frqe of cost to tho special committee. Miss Florence Young lias also offered her sendees to tho committee. Ail connected with the fair and those selling flowers in aid of tho fund have given their services freely, voluntarily and gladly. That one and all have so enthusiastically taken up the project is strong evidence that the object in view is one that has so moved them, and so appealed to them, that- tho assistance they are giving does not appear to them in the light of sacrifice, but rather as a privilege and a pleasure. " DONATIONS TO THE FUND. Messrs H. P. Solomon and E. Nordon joint secretaries of the Belgian Children's Christmas Fund, wish to acknowledge the receipt of the foliowing donations;

Four little children, Evelyn, Clem, Jim and Edna Scott, of Birchgrove, Burnham, have forwarded to this office the sum of £1 for the Belgian children instead of spending the money 011 toys.
