A CHARGE Of THEFT.

[Per Press Association*.] WANGANUI. December 23. Phillip George Burnard was charged at the Stipendiary Magistrate’s Court this morning with the'theft of a purse containing twenty-seven pound notes and cheques from the pocket of Neil Stevenson as the latter was entering a train last uight. Accused was remanded for a week.
