A meeting of the committeo of the Pioneer Amateur Motor and Sports Club was held’ on Monday night, when final arrangements tvero made for the reliability trial to bo held on January 1 and 2. The conditions of the test are of an exceptionally severe nature, and should prove the capabilities of the leading machines in Christchurch. Tire secretary imported that he had several inquiries regarding the trial from other towns, and several outside riders desired to enter. The club intends shortly to inaugurate a. championship reliability trial for the South Island to take place over a course ’which will tax tho capabilities of all the highest-grade machines. A sub-committee was formed’ to go into the matter to report at tho next meeting.
