ON Christmas Day, Friday, 25th December, 1914, the ordinary timetable will bo suspended. Tho following trains will run:— * Tho Express trains between Christchurch and Invercargill and tho Mail trains between Cluistohurcli and Dunedin. Trnins will leave Christchurch for Lyttelton at 6.35 a.m., 10.0 a.m., 10.56 a.m., 1.25 p.m., 2.45 p.m., 4.0 p.m., 5.20 p.m., 6.50 p.m., 7.50 p..m., and 9.15 p.m. Tho 7.23 p.m. train for Wellington steamer will run as usual to the when. Trains will leave Lyttelton for Christr church at 7.25 a.m., 10.25 2.0 p.m., 3.20 p.m., 4.86 p.m., 6.15 p.m., 7.15 p.m., 8.20 p.m., 8.85 p.m. and 9.45 p.m. The 8.60 a.m. Christchurch to Ctilverden, and tho 3.15 p.m. Culverden to Christchurch. These trains will stop where required to piok up or set down passengers. Tire Motor Service between Culverden and Runnier will run as usual. From TUESDAY, 22nd December, 1914, to MONDAY, 4th January. 1915, both days inclusive (Sundays and Christmas Day, 25th December, excepted), the following additional passenger trains will run, and the ordinary evoning train for Rangiora will run as shown herein. An Extra Express Train (no dining car) stopping at the same stations and for the somo purposes as the 12.5 p.m. Express Train, will leave Christohurch for Timaru at 12.20 p.m., Timaru arrive 3,53 p.m. While this train is running, the 12.5 p.m. Express train from Christchurch will not take passengers for stations up to Timaru inclusive, except passengers for Fairlie branch. The Evening Train, , Christchurch to Rangiora, except on 24th December and Ist January, mil start at 6.43 p.m., Rangiora arrive 6.63 p.m. On 24th December and Ist January it will start at 5.10 p.m. as usual. On 22nd, 26th, 28lh, 29th, 80th and 31st DECEMBER, and Ist and 4th JANUARY. an Extra Express train (no dining car) will loavo Christchurch for Timaru at 9.10 a.m., Timaru arrive 12.20 p.m. On 26th DECEMBER an Extra Express train will leave Timaru 5.20 p.m., Christchurch arrive 8.42 p.m. On Ist JANUARY an Extra Express train will leave Timaru 6.0 p.m., Christchurch arrive 8.15 p.m. The 9.10 a.m. Extra Express train from Christchurch will stop at the same stations, and for the same purpose as the ordinary 8 a.m. Express tram. While this train is running, the 8.0 a.m. Express train from Christohurch will not take passengers for stations up to Timaru inclusive. The 5.0 p.m. and 5.20 p.m. Extra Express (rains from Timaru will stop at the same stations and for tho same purpose as the ordinary Express train from Invercargill to Christchurch, and on these ‘days the InvercargillChristchurch Express train between Studholmo and Christchurch will stop only to set down passengers or. to pick up passengers for tho ferry steamer at Lyttelton. On 2Srd and 24th DECEMBER, and 2nd JANUARY, Extra Express train (with dining car attached) will run Christchurch to Dunedin. Christchurch depart 9.10 a.m., Dunedin arrive 6.0 p.m. The 9AO a.m. Extra Express train between Christchurch and Oamaru will stop at tho same stations and for the same purposes as the ordinary 8.0 a.m. Express train, south of Oamaru, it will stop at tho same stations and for the same purposes as the 12.5 p.m. Ckristohurch-Duneain Express. While this train is running, tho 8.0 a.m. Express train from Christchurch will take passengers for stations south of Dunedin only. Excursion Tickets will not be issued for, nor available by, the 8.0 a.m. ChristchurchInvercargill Express train for -stations as specified above for which it does not take passengers. From 21st DECEMBER to 30th JANUARY inclusive, tho trains between Christchurch and Arthur's Bass, and between Groymouth and Otira will run dailv (exespt Sundays), instead of on Tuesdays’, Thursdays and Saturdays only. ON 29th December a Special Passenger Train, connecting with 8.0 a..m. express train from Christohurch, will leave Ashburton at 10.0 a.m., arriving Mount Somers 11.29. The 8.0 a.m. express train from Christchurch will take passengers for Mount Somers. Return train leaves Mount Somers 4.0 p.m., md arrivos Ashburton 5.20, connecting with second express for Christchurch.
