TO THE EDITOR. ' Sir—At the last general election Mr Whiting sought the suffrages ot the electors of Christchurch South as an avowed opponent or Sir Joseph Ward, the giving of the Dreadnought and the Defence Act. . -Vt the present election Mr W tilting, although an anti-militarist, now stands as a follower or Sir Joseph Ward, and asks to be returned on that account. , Mr Ell has been a true and staunch supporter of the Liberal Party, a faithful worker, and has never wavered m his loyalty to Sir Joseph Ward. . Query P Is it a reasonable thing tor the Liberal-Labour electors of Christchurch South to turn down the man who has been true, loyal and consistent, in favour of one who has so suddenly changed his convictions? No certainly not. Common gratitude and decency will prevent any right-thinking man from so doing.—l am, etc -' CHRISTCHT j RC H SOUTH.
