AMUSEMENTS.

THEATRE ROYAL; A jnatinee performance was given yesterday at the Theatre Royal by Mr Harry Lauder and his company, and the large audience thoroughly enjoyed itself. Last night Mr Lauder gave his first change of programme, when there was again a large audience. A numI ber of new songs were. sung, including [the well-known "Wedding 6' Sandy M'Nab." Another highly successful number was "Tal Tal My Bonnie Maggie Darlin'." * Mr Lauder repeated hie previous successes with "The Saftest of the Family" and "A WeeDeoch an' Doris." He was repeatedly recalled, and his final song was sung over and over again by the audience. This evening the same songs will be given, and during the evening the flag purchased by Mr Lauder on Saturday night and resold to the Patriotic Committee will be handed over to the representatives of that organisation. A matinee performance will be given to-day at Ashburton. QUEEN'S THEATRE. Last night the current programme at the Queen'B Theatre was shown for the last time. This evening the new films to be introduced will include " The Golden Calf," "A Full House," "A Leak in the Waterpipe," "The Manufacture of Briar Pipes'" " Pathe Gazette" and "The Royal Progress Through London." GLOBE THEATRE. The programme at the Globe Pictures expired last night. To-day the new bill will include films entitled- " King of the Air," " The Gaumont Graphic" and " The Itoyal Progress Through London." GRAND THEATRE. In succession to the programme which was shown for the last time at the Grand Theatre yesterday the new films to-day will comprise "The Midnight Strike," " The Way of a' Woman," " Life at the Bottom of the Sea," " Ma-in-Law's Menagerie," and the " Warwick Chronicle." • ' HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE. "Hinemoa" and a film showing the French army training were the chief attractions in the programme submitted at His Majesty's Theatre last night. The same pictures will be shown this evening. FULLER'S PICTURES. At the Colosseum last night "The Fighting Blood of 1809 " and a series showing the Belgian army at work were shown again. The programme will be repeated to-night. SYDENHAM PICTURES. The final screening of " Hinemoa" and the other items on the programme attracted a large audience at the Sydenham Theatre, last evening. The following new pictures will be shown tonight:—" Fighting Blood of 1809 '■' (war drama), "The Pathe Gazette" (topical), "Grandmother's Wedding Dress" (drama), "Trip in Southern India" (scenic), "The Fatal Mallet '•' (comedy), "Brussels" (scenic), "Belgian Cavalry" (topical), and "Samoa" Gscenic). MR SIDNEY WILLIAMSON'S SONG . . ■ ' RECITALS. The second song recital of the series will be given to-night in the Alexandra Hall by Mr Sidney Williamson, assisted by Miss Audrey Gibson as accompanist. The audience at to-night's recital will be asked to select the programme for the next and final '■ recital of this year,, from a. list compiled from air the programmes given by Mr Williamson during the last five years at his recitals. The box plan is at Messrs Milner and Thompson's, where non-subscribers mav also procure tickets.
