The Dutch steamer Houtman has arrived, bringing passengers- by the German vessel Roon, which on the outbreak of war put into a Java- port. The Houtman's captain states that en route to Batavia he was boarded) by officers of the Gorman gunboat Geir, and after his papers had been examined ho was allowed to proceed. Passengers report that tho Dutch forces in Java are bping mobilised and the fleet is ready for action.
