Norman M'Bean, aged thirty-five, a son of tho owner of the station, shot himself with a pea rifle, his body falling into the river in five feet of water. He left a confession of the crime, which will not bo opened till the .inquest. It is not known whether M'Bean was paying addresses to Miss M'Alister. (A young woman named Gertie M'Alister, employed on M'Bean's station, was found shot in tho kitchenAn inquest was opened, but nothing was disclosed elucidating the tragedy.)
